Dr. Jill Sagona received her Doctor of Optometry at Nova Southeastern University College of Optometry in Ft Lauderdale, FL, and her B.S. in Nutrition at Case Western Reserve University in Cleveland, OH. While at Nova, she was Vice President, College of Optometry Class of 2003.

Dr. Sagona founded Eye Care of Southwest Florida with her husband, Sam Sagona, in 2015 and became a member of Vision Source shortly thereafter. Vision Source is a family of over 3,300 locally owned optometric practices collaborating to provide quality professional eye care while maintaining the personal relationship between patients and their family eye doctor.
Dr. Sagona began practicing in Ft Collins, CO in 2003. Relocated to Orlando, FL in 2004 and then to Naples, FL in 2011. She specializes in functional nutritional family optometry, providing comprehensive eye care services to patients ages 5 and up. She is certified in orthokeratology (myopia control), scleral contact lenses, and other specialty lenses for the treatment of keratoconus, corneal transplants, severe dry eyes, and other irregular corneal conditions. She has considerable experience with pre- and post-op surgical patients (primarily cataracts and LASIK). Dr. Sagona also treats patients with urgent eye conditions as well as chronic eye disease like glaucoma, macular degeneration, and diabetic eye disease.
Dr. Sagona is an active member of the American Optometric Association, Florida Optometric Association, Southwest Florida Optometric Association, Scleral Lens Society, American Academy of Myopia Control & Orthokeratology, and Contact Lens Society of America.
Dr. Sagona was born and raised in Cleveland, OH, and was a decorated soccer player. When not at Eye Care of SWFL, she can be found on a soccer field. She is an assistant coach for Mason Classical Academy's middle school girls' soccer and head coach for Azzurri Storm Soccer Club. She has been married to Sam since 2008, and she enjoys spending time with their kids, Abby, Drew, Eve, and Goldendoodle Wicket, as well as traveling and reading.

She is often the first smiling face you'll encounter and is always happy to help with scheduling appointments, placing contact lens orders, and relaying messages to Dr. Sagona to ensure seamless care for our patients.
Born and raised right here in Naples, Florida, Leonor takes pride in serving her local community and making every patient feel welcomed and supported. Outside of the office, she enjoys traveling to Miami and spending quality time with her daughter and boyfriend.
